A portion of the proceeds from Kenan Presents’ will be donated to the Cristian Rivera Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to find a cure for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare pediatric brain tumor that claims the lives of 200-300 children a year. Pioneering the comedy scene on the Southside of Chicago with Jokes and Notes Comedy Club and All Jokes Aside, she provided a stage for great talents like Russell Peters, Cedric the Entertainer, Sherry Shepard, Steve Harvey, MoNique, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock and many more. She prides herself on creating a nationally recognized platform for rising stars such as Deon Cole, Lil Rel Howery and SNL’s Chris Redd, just to name a few. Mary Lindsey’s contribution to the comedy circuit is most recently highlighted in the Showtime documentary “Phunny Business: A Black Comedy”
